WINTER PARKING & IMPEDIMENT BAN
There will be no on-street parking within any publicly maintained right-of-way in Belchertown from 11:00PM to 7:00AM from November 1, 2020 to April 1, 2021.
There will be no parking anywhere within any publicly maintained right-of-way, that interferes with snow removal operations at any time during the day or night when there is a snowstorm in progress and the snow removal trucks are clearing snow and ice from said public ways.
Persons not adhering to these regulations will have their vehicle towed at their own expense.
Residents are required to remove any obstacles within the Right-of-Way that impede the streets/roadways such as basketball hoops and rubbish barrels. Items such as these prevent snow plows from street widening and pushing back embankments during the winter season. Items interfering with snow and ice removal operations will be removed at the discretion of the Department of Public Works and the Police Department.
