The Belchertown Teen Center opened its doors in September of 1999 to rave reviews. Daily the center is used by many teens and pre-teens who are in the 5th-8th grade. We provide a safe, drug free environment in which teens can play pool, ping pong, basketball, volleyball, soccer, air hockey, watch a movie, play guitar hero/kinect, get help with their school work, etc. and have a snack. The Teen Center focuses on providing enriching activities to teens and pre-teens along with social skills within a positive growth-oriented environment. We hope that the teens that use the facility will be positively affected by their experiences at the Center.
Bus #5 will take students from CHCS to the Teen Center. We are located directly behind the Police Station. Volunteers are always welcome.
The Teen Center is available for rental.
If you need a space to host a birthday party, club meeting, etc. the Teen Center is a great place to host your event. The cost is $25.00 an hour. Please contact Kristina Savage at Teen Center or the Recreation Dept.

As you may have heard, the public funding of the Belchertown Teen Center will be terminated at the close of this fiscal year (June 20th). The facility will remain open this summer for registration-based programs; however we will not be able to offer our usual open summer hours between 10:00am and 3:00pm.
We are working very hard to maintain fee-based open hours next school year, as well as a variety of other programs (including Safe Sitter, Tutoring, Whisk Me Away, Wetlands Exploration, and Cooking Craze). Unfortunately, we are unable to make definitive plans until the town has decided whether our facility will remain under the direction of the Recreation Department. We will keep you updated as we find out more information. If you have any questions, please call us at 323-0419.
