About Us
Department: The Belchertown Recreation Department has been around since 1975 back at the old town hall. Since then, the department moved to the finnity house next to the town hall and from there to its current location .
First director was Art Knapp then Ron Constantino and currently Robert Opalenik. The department offers many programs, sport related activities and other leisure programs.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Belchertown Parks, Beach and Recreation Department is to promote the health and general well being of the individual and community by providing a wide range of recreational opportunities to meet the leisure and developmental needs of the citizens of Belchertown.
