BOARD OF HEALTH
Three Year Elected (Overlapping) Terms; Five Members; Meeting on the first Monday of the month in Lawrence Memorial Hall: The Board of Health’s responsibilities are largely determined by State statues and regulations. The Board is also empowered to establish local regulations necessary to protect the health and well-being of the community. The Board’s primary duties relate to the protection of public health, control of disease, preservation of a wholesome and safe food supply, promotion of sanitary living conditions, and the protection of the environment from damage and pollution.
