Located at the Senior Center, our nutritional program provides nearly
55,000 meals a year. Everyone 60 years of age or over is eligible for this
program. Younger spouses may attend with an eligible partner.
Congregate Meals are served in the dining room
of the Senior Center Monday
through Friday at 11:45 a.m. Many people come for our activities or programs and stay for
lunch with friends. Reservations are required to insure there
are meals for all and to reduce waste. Please call the Center a day ahead to
make a reservation. Suggested donation is $2.00 per meal.
Menus are published weekly in the Sentinel and
in our monthly newsletter, and are available on line by clicking
here.
Home Delivered Meals are prepared and
delivered five days a week and frozen meals are delivered on Friday for the
weekend. Meals have no added salt and diabetic desserts are available.
A hot meal is delivered at lunchtime and cold evening meals are available
for those who need them. Suggested donation for each meal is $2.00.
An important part of this service is that
homebound clients receive a daily check by the Home Delivered Meals driver.
If no one answers we will call an emergency contact to insure that the
senior is safe.
Please call the Senior Center at 323-0420
for additional information and requirements, to make a reservation for a
Congregate Meal or arrange Home Delivered Meals.
